The Move with Purpose program is designed to with the athlete in mind. This program is about balancing the physical development and health of the athlete. Although both go hand-in-hand it is very easy for either to compromise and conflict the outcome of the other.
We use progressive overload to increase lean mass, aerobic and anaerobic conditioning, work through the force-velocity curve for strength. We help you strategise and navigate through the seasons -preseason, in season and post season to prepare you at different check points in the year.

Learn how to leverage your strength to become more explosive vertically and horizontally, move more fluidly and effortless, play through contact, build strength in vulnerable positions for better performance but also to "prevent" injury - we'll spend a little more time on the finer details.

The Move with Purpose program is an adaptable 20-week basketball strength training program utilising multiple training. It focuses on building strength, aiding recovery, reducing fatigue, preventing injury and maintaining performance. The program integrates offseason vs. in-season variations and balances mobility, recovery, and skill development. Typically 6 days a week each day has its own workout (e.g Week 1, Day 3: Work Capacity), with each day focusing on a different quality needed.
What gym equipment do I need?
We require you to have standard gym access with dumbbells, barbells, and cables or resistance bands. If you don’t have gym access, we provide alternatives so you can still work out.
What skill level is it designed for?
Each exercise has progressions and modifications for all levels. The program is designed to be progressive to allow you to adapt over time. In regards to intensity, some exercises may be more challenging. Each workout gauge your RPE per exercise and as a session as a whole. We advise each individual to manage themselves accordingly - work your way up day-by-day.
Each day there is different emphasis we are trying to develop. Depending if you work out solo, with a partner or in a group. Typically these workouts will last between 45 minutes and 70 minutes.
Yes. We have designed the Move with Purpose program to work to be adaptable dependent on your weekly schedule. Through our own research and development we have carefully selected an exercise library and designed a framework that is progressive and adaptable for any individual or team.
We kindly advise everyone on the program to follow the program - however maintain flexibility based around their day-to-day activity (e.g role and minutes played on the team, other commitments outside of basketball). Evidently, this will differ person to person, this is where we encourage you to communicate with us give us feedback and ask questions. We are proud to say this is our most complete program where we offer coaching support.
Although it is possible, I would suggest focusing on one program at a time. Generally all FunctionAll programs are strength based and stress the body significantly and we need time to recover.
This program is a monthly subscription, full access to the program and its resources unless you cancel. We work incredibly hard to provide a comprehensive experience so we expect accountability both ways.
You'll have full access to this program beyond the prescribed 20 weeks. We have created a framework that is effective and we highly recommend that you repeat the program multiple times (there are updates and additional resources) to make continual improvement to both your mind and body.
Each drill can be adjusted based on skill level. All programs have been tested on players of all levels (literally intermediate youth up to NBA players), and have proven to meet players where they're at, especially with the progressions and regressions we provide to make it easier or more difficult!
If you at minimum have access to basic gym equipment such as power rack, dumbbells, and benches you can participate in the program. A super band + mini band is optional as well as access to a pool, however, if you do not have those things you should still be fine to move forward. The program also offers alternatives to workouts that incorporate specialized equipment or a pool to ensure users can follow along without limitations.
This program provides detailed breakdown (video demos, coaching cues) exercise and multiple variables that make it simple for users to follow on their own. However, we do want to provide additional value and so we honour an opportunity to check in (check points in the journey)
as well as communications via chat. This additional from The FunctionAll Staff costs thousands of dollars per month, Bespoke coaching is available.
